Nina and Tom are travelling through Africa - on a motorbike with each Three Pairs Of Underwear only. Actually, nothing special, if they would take the normal routes. As so often, they take the wrong turn and end up in places, which haven't been visited by lots of forigners before.
They started in northern Oman in June 2009, drove through Jemen, were shipped on a dhow over the Red Sea, found their way through Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Lesotho and South Africa. Since April this year, they are on their way home through West Africa. Ghana, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauretania and Marocco are planned - but let's wait and see where their next wrong turn takes them next. The arrival back home is scheduled for late summer 2010.
Being roared at from lions, chased from elephants, starred at from hunderets of buffalos, almost beeing run over from a cow, attacked from thousends tsetse flies, flooded from rain, sunken in mud, eaten by moskitos, having thrown rocks at, beeing asked for money from kids and women, beeing fascinated from the hospitality, beeing invited from all covered up women, enjoying great local food, overhelmed from the scenery and the landscape, having some kind touches from gorillas and from the good and bad road conditions - that's what the blog of the two is telling all about.
For all our "English only" readers: SORRY, - some parts of this page are not translated yet at all. As you can imagine, it takes already quite some motivation to write the German part...
